Winter stepped closer, stroking the bird's head.

"Yes, that would be best," he smiled, taking off and leading the way.

They exited the mortal realm and found themselves right in the middle of Wonderland, lands winter knew well now and easily navigated, leading the way to the best mushroom patch and landing gracefully.

"You will only need very little," he noted. "Just a bite."
