"Oh my god," Hex said softly, easing way just a little bit more. "If I'd
known I'd have never even put you in a position to need to say no. I'm
sorry, Winter. I...I'm sorry."
Everything for Hex, when it came to sex at least, revolved around
permission and consent. He couldn't think of anything more vile that
breaking someone's trust by doing anything without permission or consent.
"It's just...me. Just a mortal thing, I reckon," he said, not really
wanting to talk about Winter's suffering, nor his own hangups. He was
horrified at the very thought that Winter had been a slave. And a slave
like...well, not the sort of slaves he knew about.
Winter made a soft cooing sound, wriggling his way closer to Hex again and
settling in.
"Mortals are so odd," he said again, yawning loudly and searching for the
covers. "We should sleep, Hex. Let's not invite nightmares by speaking of
the past."
