Winter slunk back to Phouka's flat, still sulking a little and shrinking himself down so he could play.

"I didn't- I didn't mean to hit you," Winter said quietly, his expression crumpling slightly. "I'm sorry, Phouka. I'm not mad at you. I'm not! ...I'm sorry I struck you, please don't strike me in return," he said, tensing as though he expected his pleas to fall on deaf ears.

At that the Phouka sat up just a bit, bracing an elbow on the bed to help him keep up.

"Winter, I would never strike you. Never first, never in return. Never," he promised. "I know you are not mad at me...though I do apologize for pushing for more before you were ready. I swear I will not do it again. I swear it." He paused before sealing the promise thrice. "I swear it."

Winter looked surprised by the promise- Shocked, but touched.

Emotion overwhelmed the small creature, and he threw his arms around the Phouka, holding him tight.

"You are good to me Phouka. So kind."

"You deserve only love and kindness. Tender kisses and gentle touches to make you coo and wriggle," he replied, gently running his fingers up and down Winter's sides.

Winter was terribly ticklish, and he wiggled and laughed loudly, wings fluttering slightly.

"Yes!" he chirped gleefully.
