Phouka
Winter's colour was slowly returning to him, and his wings were still weak, but were starting to shine once more. He slept often, and for long stretches of time, but it was clear he was slowly mending.
...It was also clear that being kept inside was driving the little pixie mad. He craved sunlight and the kiss of the moon, and he'd taken to spending much of his time pressed against the window looking sad. More so today than ever, since Willy and Fin were out and about. Something to do with Fin's 'work', that was all he'd been told, and he'd blown a raspberry at their backs as the pair had left, then wasted the morning gazing out the window.
"Phouka," he said, whining just a little. "I am bored- The mortal's home is so dull. Give me my potion so I will be tall, and we can go and have hot chocolate in the park," he grinned.

"You are most demanding," he chuckled. "Come then and kiss me and see if I am as sweet as before."
no subject
"Yes, still sweet," he smiled. "I m too small to kiss you properly though. Far too small."
no subject
"Perhaps it is I that is too big," he said, then he began to shrink. Smaller and smaller until he disappeared into the pile of blankets. The Phouka laughed as he tried to fight his way out, meaning to find Winter where he'd left him on the pillow.
"I am not usually smaller than...well, my dog form. Which is not all that small, I now realize."
no subject
"I like your dog form- I like all your forms, I think. They are all very handsome," he decided.

Winter let out a tiny gasp, then smiled as he leaned in to steal a small kiss.
"Very much," he said again. "Very, very much."
This all felt a bit naughty, and he wondered what Willy would think if he could see them- But Winter liked being naughty- just a little, and though his cheeks were pink, he kissed Phouka once more.

"You enchant me, Winter Wisp," the Phouka whispered softly. "You are a delight."

He kissed Phouka again, then once more. He wasn't certain he was bold enough to try anything more than this, yet, but he did like this kissing bits. The kissing bits were lovely.

"Do you not have kind words for me as well?" he asked.

He leaned in and kissed Phouka once again, letting it linger then.

"Lay with me," he whispered, coaxing the little one to lay down, to lay on him.

Suddenly Winter's smile faded, and he pulled away, looking unsure and uneasy as he wrapped his wigs around himself.
"No more," he said quietly, not upset, but simply struggling to let things continue right now. "I think I want to go back to the mortal's home now."
no subject
"Of course, primrose. If that is your wish," he said softly. Phouka moved away just a bit.

"Would you like something fine to wear before we go?" he asked as he smoothed his hair into place.
no subject
"Please," Winter chirped, folding his wings neatly and standing up straight. "I would like that very much."
no subject
"You look lovely," the fae said. "Come, we will step through the mirror and be in Finlay's flat."
no subject
Winter looked pleased with his new clothes, then nodded, waiting to be lifted off the bed since his wings were too weak to carry him still.

The Phouka carefully picked him up and cradled him close. The creature's heartbeat was steady and loud as he held Winter to his chest.
The mirror in the corner of the room in the cottage was large and all it took was a pass of his hand and he stepped through into Fin's bedroom. The mirror behind them rippled and then became solid once again.
"And we are home. What is your pleasure now, primrose? Food? Rest? Music or telly?" he asked.
no subject
"I am hungry, Phouka. Let's feast and enjoy one another's company while we watch telly," Winter suggested cheerfully. "Do I have plenty potion left? I can take more and be large again, if you'd like."
no subject
"You should save your potion. I am quite comfortable making myself pixie-sized," he said as he took Winter to the kitchen so he could prepare a feast of bread and fruit, honey and cheese and other delights.

Winter wandered around on the counter, watching Phouka work with curious and bright eyes.
"Fae Willy said my magic may never return," he said after a moment. "Do you think that's true?" he asked.
no subject
"It is possible. The wizard's spell was quite awful," Phouka replied. "Have you given thought to what life may be like as one without magic?"
